Another downtown housing project by Urban Equity Properties.
The history of the Coronado Haskell Neighborhood began in 1843, when George Haskell filed a claim for 145 acres along the western banks of the Rock River.
Nine churches and some of the oldest buildings in Rockford anchor the neighborhood today. Among them are the Burpee Museum of Natural History and the Coronado Performing Arts Center, which sits in the downtown portion of Coronado Haskell known as the Cultural Corridor. The area includes the Rockford Women's Club, Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, Beattie Park, Discovery Center and Riverfront Museum Park.
