Built in 1911, the Ralston Block Building housed a few different businesses over the years. It was home to an electrical supply company and training center for union workers. Urban Equity Properties redeveloped the 10,000 square-foot classic brick structure in 2015 and housed its offices on the second floor until 2019.
The stretch of Madison Street from East State to the YMCA marks Rockford's East Bank District. The area is highlighted by a picturesque view of the Rock River as it meanders through downtown. The UW Health Sports Factory, Rockford Park District's Riverview Ice House, Prairie Street Brewing Company, Mary's Place, American Lombardi Club and the Verdi Club mark the area's entertainment hot spots.
